Estate Cleanout in Arden-Arcade

The house went up in the 1950s or ’60s, the same family has lived there ever since, and the two-car garage stopped holding cars a long time ago. When it’s time to empty it, we do the whole place at a truck-fill price: half a truck is $431, a full load $732.

California’s Second-Largest Unincorporated Community

Arden-Arcade has 94,994 residents, which makes it the second-most-populous census-designated place in California. Most of it was built between 1945 and 1970 as a middle-class mid-century suburb, and the area near Gibbons Park was once known as “Little Norway.”

Because it’s unincorporated, trash service follows Sacramento County rules: one free bulky pickup every twelve months. For a whole-house estate, that allowance runs out fast.

The Parts the County Leaves Behind

Mirrors and Glass

The County’s bulky crews won’t take mirrors, glass panes or shower doors. Mid-century homes tend to have plenty, from dresser mirrors to wall-length closet doors.

The Old Patio Cover and Deck

Treated wood from backyard decks and fence posts is also excluded. It goes on the same truck as the furniture.

Arden-Arcade Estate FAQs

We already used our County pickup this year — can you still come?

Yes. The County allows one free bulky collection per twelve months, counted from the day you used it. We aren’t tied to that clock.

What does an Arden-Arcade estate cleanout cost?

Most whole houses price as truck-fill, from $431 for half a truck to $732 for the full sixteen cubic yards. Larger homes may need a second load.

Do you take the mirrors and glass doors the County won’t?

Yes. A wall or floor mirror is $53; glass shower doors and panes go on the quote as well.

Can usable furniture be donated instead?

Yes. Furniture and housewares in good condition are set aside for donation before anything is sent for disposal.
